Purpose of this website: to make available articles (currently three) that provide the author’s critique of the famous 1964 article by John Bell, On the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen Paradox, now commonly called “Bell’s Theorem.” The critique presented here is not an argument for or against non-locality. It is an argument that Bell’s Theorem is not a proof of non-locality.

Three articles are presented. The earliest and longest one is A Critical Re-examination of Bell’s Theorem (abbreviated here as CRBT). CRBT is written for a wide audience of physicists. It includes historical and mathematical background information, including a recapitulation of the essentials of Bell (1964). CRBT is accessible to readers who have at least a good undergraduate education in physics and an interest in the foundational problems of quantum mechanics. CRBT is self-contained; it can be read and understood without turning to the references.

The second article, Algebraic Logic Error in Bell’s (1964) Theorem – the Very Short Version (abbreviated herein as ALE), is a compressed exposition of the core of Section 3 of CRBT. Section 3 of CRBT discusses one of the two fatal algebraic defects of Bell (1964). ALE contains no background material and the barest minimum of references. It is written for those already very familiar with Bell (1964).

The third article, Notational Inconsistency in Bell’s (1964) Theorem – the Very Short Version (abbreviated herein as NI) is a variant of Section 4 of CRBT. Section 4 of CRBT discusses the second of the two fatal algebraic defects of Bell (1964). Like ALE, NI contains no background material and a minimum of references, and is written for those already very familiar with Bell (1964).

A note on versions: The website update of January 25, 2022 replaced the January 24, 2021 version of CRBT with a very slightly revised version. This is the third version of CRBT. All versions of CRBT are substantially the same. Revisions consist of minor corrections and some localized editing for clarity. If you have read and understood either of the earlier versions, it is not necessary to download the current version. At this point I do not expect to make any further revisions to CRBT.
